Music enthusiasts are in for a special treat this Friday at the Royal Car Wash bar, on the first anniversary of renowned reggae artist Jean Christophe Matata’s death.
Musicians scheduled to perform at the event include Chou Chou Mihigo, Bob Kipetti, Makanyaga, Ngabonziza Augustin, Mwitenawe Augustin, Mavenge, Tamfum, Mutsar, Budi Impala, Ngabo Leonce and Mighty Popo.
Matata was a Belgium-based Rwandan musician who passed away a year ago in a hospital in South Africa, where he was scheduled to perform. He was a well known singer-songwriter with hits like ‘Amaso Ankunda’, ‘Mukobwa Ndagowe’, ‘Ihorere N’usarare’ and ‘Nyegera Cyane’.
The entrance fee is Frw 5,000.
