Sonia’s film nominated for Hollywood awards

While still enjoying Rwandan weather, Sonia Rolland can’t hide her excitement as her film is nominated for the 12th HollyShorts Film Festival slated for August 11 to 18 at The Space Theatre, California.

The former Miss France who arrived in the country over the weekend for her Maisha Africa project and another film gig posted on Instagram: “So proud to announce that my short film #AnOrdinaryLife is selected by HolyShorts Film Festival 2016.”

An Ordinary Life (Une Vie Ordinaire) is not the only film Sonia directed. Others are Rwanda Mon Amour (Rwanda My Love) and Rwanda: Du Chao au Miracle.

HollyShorts Film Festival brings together different big and genius cinema personalities worldwide whose films don’t go beyond 40 minutes of play and carry an inspirational message to the public.

The first three films will be awarded this year and the winning director will get a $ 15000 prize.
